The setup

ANYCOLOR, the operating company behind the Nijisanji talent brand, is a Japanese public company. Its own investor FAQ states plainly that the company's shares were listed on 8 June 2022, on what the same FAQ separately confirms is now the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, under securities code 5032. Founded 2 May 2017, per the same FAQ, the company spent five years private before that listing.

What the documents show

The FAQ names the exact day but not the original market segment. A second ANYCOLOR document, the management message on its investor-relations site, supplies that missing detail, stating the company was 'newly listed on the Growth Market' of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in June 2022. Read together, the two pages establish that ANYCOLOR debuted on the Growth Market, the tier for newer, smaller listings, and only later qualified for the Prime Market, the tier for the largest companies, which its stock-overview page names as the company's segment as retrieved on 16 September 2026. Neither page states the date of that later upgrade, so the move-up itself remains undocumented here even though the current segment is clear.

The craft

For anyone comparing the two largest VTuber agencies' public-market histories, the segment matters as much as the date. Growth Market and Prime Market carry different listing standards in Tokyo, and treating 'listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange' as one undifferentiated fact would erase that ANYCOLOR, like Cover Corp, started on the smaller tier before any move upward.

Keeping the creator in control

None of this changes who performs as a Nijisanji character, but it sets the boundary of what ANYCOLOR must publicly disclose about the business managing that performer's channel and contract. Editorially, a creator or fan assessing the company's scale should anchor claims to the FAQ's specific day rather than a rounded '2022' shorthand, since the FAQ is the document ANYCOLOR itself keeps current.

  • Is a cited ANYCOLOR listing claim tied to the Growth Market debut or the later Prime Market status?
  • Does the source distinguish the founding date, 2017, from the listing date, 2022?
  • When was the FAQ or overview page last retrieved, given both are living documents?

ANYCOLOR's own FAQ and management message agree on the essentials: founded May 2017, listed 8 June 2022 on the Growth Market, now trading on the Prime Market. That two-step history is worth keeping distinct from a single flat listing year.
